The Siena Crucifix pendant speaks in the old language of Western devotion: the living, wounded body of Christ in low-relief, a tactile reminder that God entered our flesh and redeemed it. Its design draws from the great crucifixes of medieval Tuscany, where artists and craftsmen balanced naturalistic detail with liturgical purpose — not to satisfy the eye alone, but to awaken the heart.

In the West, from the great cathedral crosses to parish chapels, the three-dimensional Corpus became a favored form because it invites a personal encounter: hands rested in blessing, a head bowed in compassion, ribs and shoulders bearing the weight of our sins.
