Meet The Founder

Welcome to Prostatia

Where every piece of jewelry is a reflection of faith, craftsmanship, and luxury.

My name is Thomas Fleetwood, and I am honored (and unworthy) to be a Deacon in the Eastern Orthodox Church and founder of Prostatia (learn about the name Here). My journey into the world of jewelry began with a deep, personal calling that intertwines my faith, my love for the sacred, and my passion for artistry. It all started with a simple, yet profound moment in my life: the day I met my wife, Melissa (Angeliki).

At the time, I was a part-time cashier at CVS, and though I was uncertain about my future, I knew, by God’s providence, that she was the one I was meant to marry. But there was one problem—I couldn’t afford a ring. In my search for a way to give her a symbol of our love, I applied for various jobs, but nothing seemed to work out. That is, until I took a leap of faith and applied for a sales position at Signet Jewelers, the company behind brands like Kay, Jared, and Zales.

By God’s grace, I was given the opportunity to work with Kay Jewelers. This marked the beginning of my immersion into the world of jewelry—the very world that would allow me to present my wife with the ring I knew she deserved. My journey continued as I moved on to work with the prestigious names of Tiffany & Co. and David Yurman, where I had the privilege of learning the highest standards of luxury and craftsmanship. These years not only taught me the art of jewelry making but also instilled in me the profound value of blending beauty, elegance, and meaning into every creation.

As my career progressed, so did my faith. My wife and I embraced the rich heritage and tradition of the Holy Greek Orthodox Church, where we were received into the Church on Saint Mary of Egypt Sunday in 2015. Over the years, my zeal for my faith grew, and in time, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend seminary. I later transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) in Las Vegas, where I was ordained a Deacon; and have since transferred to Mendocino/Sonoma county working in service to our Lord and His people as God permits.

Throughout my 13 years in the jewelry world, I witnessed how people often wear jewelry for various reasons—sometimes for beauty, sometimes for status, and sometimes simply because it is in fashion. Yet, I came to believe that jewelry should carry deeper meaning—a connection to heritage, to life’s milestones, to faith, and ultimately to Christ. Even Holy Scriptures reference jewelry numerous times. Jewelry should have purpose. It should be as deeply personal as a baptismal cross or a wedding ring, symbols that bind us not only to each other but to the eternal.

Inspired by the sacred traditions of the Church, I sought to create jewelry that embodies the spiritual depth and beauty of sacred art—icons, crosses, rings, symbols, accessories that could be worn as daily reminders of Christ’s presence in our lives. With a heart full of gratitude and a mind sharpened by years of experience, I founded Prostatia to offer jewelry that brings the faithful closer to the divine—in the form of quiet contemporary luxury.

Though our roots are in the Eastern Orthodox tradition, our craft is created for all who cherish the richness of ancient Christian practice. Each piece at Prostatia is thoughtfully designed as a subtle yet profound connection to Christ and His saints. Our intention is to honor the living presence of God and the Saints—reminders that He, and the Saints, walk and work among us even now. At the heart of our work is craftsmanship: every detail meticulously formed, each design carrying beauty with meaning—luxury, but with purpose

At Prostatia, we believe that everyday luxury should be both simple and profound. Our pieces are designed with clean lines and fine details, aiming to make each piece a spiritual symbol that feels timeless and sacred. Whether you are gifting a piece to someone you love or purchasing one for yourself, we hope that it becomes more than just an adornment—it is a daily reminder of faith, heritage, and grace.

Thank you for visiting our humble shop. Your support means the world to us, and above all, we ask for your prayers.

May God bless and keep you, always!
