(Catholic Tradition)
Story of the first millennial Catholic Saint
A young man who loved the Mass. A coder who catalogued Eucharistic wonders. A simple life that drew many to wonder how ancient devotion and modern means might belong together. Carlo Acutis lived his brief life with unusual clarity of purpose. Devout from childhood, he made the Eucharist the center of his day: daily Mass, frequent Communion, and prayer. At the same time he used the gifts of his age — computers, websites, online exhibition — to gather and share devotion: he created a public catalog of Eucharistic miracles so pilgrims and seekers around the world could encounter them. He died very young of illness, and the Church recognized his holiness; he has since been raised to the altars and now stands as an example of youthful faith lived without compromise. Carlo’s witness is simple and strangely ancient: relentless attention to the Presence of Christ, generosity to the poor, humility in small duties, and an eagerness to make the beauty of the faith accessible to others. For many he is an emblem of how the Church’s oldest treasures — the Eucharist, prayer, charity — can be held and shared in new forms. Bear Carlo's image as a reminder that the Eucharist is at the center of life, to be a model for digital discipleship, and to gentleness.
